Central Construction Group Wins Third Straight Houzz Award for Best Design

For the third year in a row, Central Construction Group garnered a 2024 Best of Houzz Design award for its creative style and small-space solution for a Meridian-Kessler kitchen remodel project. CCG also won a Best of Houzz Service award in 2018.

Houzz is the most popular home-design community online and showcases the work of 3 million professionals around the world. Every year, it recognizes the companies whose portfolios were the most popular on Houzz the previous year, based on user engagement and Ideabook saves. Houzz says only 2 percent of companies receive the distinction.

The Award-Winning Project

Houzz users gravitated toward a smart kitchen remodel from 2022. Staying within the same footprint, CCG gave the small space a complete custom makeover that maximized functionality and style.

CCG Residential Interior Designer Stephanie Larmor worked with the homeowner to extend the kitchen counters into an L shape to make the best use of the space. But standard 36-inch lower cabinets wouldn’t fit under a large window. So CCG used shorter cabinets at that end of the kitchen, creating visual interest with tiered countertop design. The homeowners now use that area to bake with their children.

Dark-gray hexagon tile flooring anchors a clean, softly modern look. Two-tone cabinets and open wood shelving add warmth and character. Trendy green lower cabinets are paired with cool nickel hardware, and crisp white uppers receive a touch of drama from oversized brass fixtures. Calacatta Monaco quartz countertops continue up the wall into a backsplash for polish.

Crown molding and under-cabinet lighting complete the luxe extras.

What People Are Saying

CCG has 17 five-star ratings on Houzz from clients and other home-design professionals.

“I have used Central Construction for three different projects,” Karen Pursley wrote. “Each time, I was very pleased with several facts: 1. They asked and listened to what I wanted—not just told me. 2. Top-notch workers who were professional and very polite. 3. They stayed consistent with the contract. 4. Good materials were used, they answered all my questions, and they cleaned up after each day.”

Kitchen designer Samantha Herrin said: “They give their customers detailed kitchen plans with color perspectives, which in my opinion is very rare. I rarely do color renderings. That just goes to show how much they want their customers to visualize their space and be happy with what they are ordering because it is a big investment.”

Another client reported: “Central Construction Group completed a major kitchen renovation for me and they did a wonderful job. The project was fairly complex as it involved expanding the footprint of an older home and the placement of a structural beam. CCG executed the design flawlessly.”
