Smart Kitchen Cabinet Storage and Organization

There is nothing as satisfying as an organized kitchen, where everything has its own place. Being able to find a place for all of your pots, pans, and gadgets and knowing where everything is makes cooking that much more enjoyable. We’ve rounded up a couple ways to create a kitchen you will never want to leave. Keep in mind, anyone can add these to their kitchen. Just make sure you and your contractor research kitchen organization solutions before remodeling or building brand new kitchen.

Use the space your have

First and foremost, take those cabinets all the way up to the ceiling (add some crown molding for an even more custom look). This not only gives you a lot more space but adds height to the room. Your eyes will be drawn all the way up the second you walk into your new kitchen, creating that custom luxury feel. Now that you have all this space, let’s talk about customizing what’s inside.

Everything’s better down where it’s organized, under the sink.

When we think of kitchen storage, we immediately think of all that junk under the sink. Have you ever thought of creating a hidden drawer instead of an open space? Using systems like Rev-A-Shelf can help you can organize everything exactly how you want so you don’t have to dive down there searching every time you need something.

Spiced up spice racks

Let’s move onto the second most annoying part of any kitchen, the spice cabinet. If you are creating your custom kitchen, a thin spice rack that pulls out can be a great option. It is so easy to use and you will never have to dig around again looking for the garlic salt for your prized guacamole recipe. But what do you do with the spices when they are done?

Custom trash solutions

Let’s face it, the most annoying eye-sore of an item is the trash can. It sits out, takes up space, and doesn’t fit the style of your kitchen. Hide that ugly trash can in your new kitchen and create a custom drawer that holds your recycling and trash bins.

Secret Snack Pantry

If you don’t have a walk-in pantry, try customizing your kitchen to fit one that blends right into your cabinets (to the ceiling of course). Walk-in or on the wall, a pantry allows you to keep food off the counter and neatly stored. Add custom drawers and shelving to accommodate what you stock up on and make it easy to reach it all.

Clean Counters

If you enjoy clean counters, you may want to try adding in a secret cabinet (an appliance garage) that sits on your counter. This will allow you to hide away appliances like toasters and coffee makers while you aren’t using them. Make sure there is a wall outlet in there to make things even easier.

Pot and pan storage

Lastly, we all know that storing pots and pans can be a nightmare. Some of you might even use the oven to store them, but what a pain when you want to use the oven to cook. Adding a custom drawer that can accommodate all your cooking pans needs will save you counter and oven space. Throw in a lid organizer while you’re at it and your kitchen organization is complete.

Now step back and take in all that organization glory of your new custom kitchen.
